FA Competitions
The dates for the FA Cup and Vase have been announced, with the draws for the early rounds on Friday next week. The Preliminary Round of the FA Cup is the week after Reading Festival, so if we make it and have a home draw I imagine there won't be any need to switch venues like last year.

Re: FA Competitions
Just love the FA Cup and FA Vase fixtures - providing we don't meet teams in our own league. Opportunity to meet new fans and travel to new venues in most cases.
Looking forward to the fixture announcements.

FA Cup
Extra preliminary round, Sat 20th August - Binfield (H)
and then the winners go on to,
Preliminary round, Sat 3rd September - Slough Town (A)
First qualifying round, Sat 17th September - Banbury United (A)
Bit disappointed with that, good to get a home draw but disappointing to get a team we'd be playing the league anyway. If we get through though it's not a bad draw at all.
FA Vase
First qualifying round, Sat 10th September - Harefield United (H)
Second qualifying round, Sat 24th September - Aylesbury United (H)
First round, Sat 22nd October - Ardley United (A)

Re: FA Competitions
With the draw out
Reading Town v Binfield
Sandhurst Town v Thame United
Wokingham & Emmbrook v Holyport
All big games and in range of Koshi's castle... will have to treat the 'happy crew' to a pint if the bike tyres make it to Scours Lane!

A good mixture of matches to look forward to, with Binfield being a real test early on in the FA Cup.
So looking forward to the "Hares" coming to Scours Lane in the Vase. I know several of their fans and they were big rivals to Edgware Town in their Spartan South Midlands days when I travelled to London every week.
Just something magical about these competitions - bring it on!!!

Always have some banter with Binfield and tend to give us a good game when ever we play them. Just hope each side has 11 men on th pitch at the end as the last few games has seen both sides get players having an early bath. If we get through to play Slough Town that would be a great game as it's pretty much a another derby game plus they have a good ground which which be a treat to visit. The FA Vase draw looks good as well so can't wait until the season starts!!!!!
Re: FA Competitions

Got to beat Binfield first Ben. Still a significant Club with FA Cup history to be proud of. I would love to visit and show just how loud The Barmy Army can be!!
