Re: Reading Town merchandise
I am not sure if you can buy Reading Town shirts and kits so I will have to enquire about that. What we could do with is some Red & Black scarves to wave about and also keep you warm throughout the winter months .

Re: Reading Town merchandise
Just done a quick Google for football scarves, and found this.
Or if we wanted to get the club badge on one, looks like this site can make them to order.
I'd definitely get a scarf with the club badge on if we could get some.

Not a bad price for the scarves £4.95, does that include the postage? How much is for the other scarves to get the badge prinited on?
Re: Reading Town merchandise
Postage cost of £1.95 for the first one, so £6.90 overall for a single scarf.
Not sure of the price for the other one, think you'd need to actually contact the company to find out, also just noticed that there is a minimum order quantity of 50 for those ones and unfortunately I doubt we'd have enough people interested to make it worthwhile to order that many.

Hmm, there's this site as well, which lets you design your own scarf. Not exactly cheap, at about £15 per scarf if you buy five, although the price per scarf does go down the more you order.
Also is a €25 (about £20) charge for using a custom design (putting the RTFC badge of for example), although that is a one off charge, and doesn't need to be paid for each scarf.
Like I said not cheap, but does allow you to put the badge on or have Reading Town FC on it, without having to order 50.

I would be willing to spend a few bob on RTFC scarves as it would look good and also show how far the RTFC Barmy Army is progressing with the Red flag which Roland got and to have some scarves would be great.

Blue Peter time.
Here's one I made earlier.
There's also this that I made with the thing that allows you to put badges etc on.

Yer that's what I meant changed it to the correct spelling scarves
Re: Reading Town merchandise
How about putting a poll on the Forum about scarves?
Perhaps the options of a "Reading Town FC" version - a "Reading Town Barmy Army" version or a plain Red and Black version.
What would fans purchase?

Re: Reading Town merchandise
Im sure if you spoke to the chairmen and the people at the bar they would be willing to fly with ordering 50 scarves. im sure some of the players of both youth and 1st team plus parents and other fans would be willing to buy one. plus if there are left overs they could be sold for 10p each at the bar? I think scarves are a great idea.

Re: Reading Town merchandise
Also, with times becoming hard why don't the club allow oap's in free of charge, and at the gate supply them with knitting needles, and some red and black wool from the the local charity shop, so during the game they can sit there merrily knitting away and supplying the club with cheap scarfs? You never know with the Barmy Army in full voice in one section please give a warm welcome to the new Baaaaaaaahhhhhhhmy Yarny massive.
