Reading Town 2-6 Newport Pagnell Town (Berks & Bucks Final)

Ok people I should be going to the game tonight as I have managed to get a lift and look forward the game as always. Also looks like a nice ground where the Final is taking place so will enjoy looking around the place. Gutted I can't be there tonight to cheer on Town. The Royals are at home to Newcastle this evening, and seeing as we still have an outside chance of making the playoffs it could be a cracker. Newcastle need the three points to secure the title while we are the form team of the Championship.

Good luck to all that are travelling to deepest darkest Buckinghamshire this evening, a perfect one for a cup final success. C'mon Town!

Newport Pagnell Town scored 3 goals in the space of 15 minutes with the first goal the player got to the ball before Chris Grace and it was lifted over him. The second goal was headed past Grace to make it 2-0 and the third goal a simple slot home for the Pagnell player. The Town got a goal back when Deano headed in from close range in the 17th minute. Chris Grace then went onto save a penalty tp prevent Newport scoring another goal. Late in the first half the team in green made it 4-1 when a free-kick went through the wall and past the diving Grace in goal. Newport Pagnell made it 5-1 going into half time when a shot/cross found the back of the net.

Deano was on the score sheet once again when he directed his header in the middle of the golakeeper and defender on the line. This saw the Reading boys carve out some decent chances with headers from Deano and Gordon Ritchie going close or being saved by the keeper. Newport Pagnell Town were looking to get their 6th goal of the night but Chris Grace produced some good saves to keep the scores at 5-2. Newport did get their 6th goal right near the end when the ball was thumped past 2 players on the line.
