The Reading Town ladies lost to State University of New York 4-0 this morning, I thought it was a 2pm kick off but it turned out it was at 11am so didn't see any action but Andy Norris told me the score so at least I can keep you informed and keep the site updated. The next game is tomorrow when Roddy's men face Flackwell Heath who are 11th in the League one place above the Town with 4 points separating the teams and 17 goal difference. Looking forward to the game and both teams should be up for it as both teams haven't played in a while and will want to start 2011 off to a good start.

It will be good to see another match at Scours Lane again. Let's make some noise and welcome in the new year with 3 points. Any turkey sandwiches Roland?

The First half saw Flackwell Heath create a lot of chance infront of goal and they took the lead early on to make it 1-0. The Heathen's continued to mount pressure and with that saw more chances being created but a mixer of Silver saves and a bit of luck from the bar saw score stay the same. Reading Town were dealt a blow in the 43rd minute when Mark Bartley recieved a straight red for a two footed challenge. Nathan Silver in the Reading Town goal produced some great saves in the second half to keep the scorline down to 1-0, but with minutes to go in the game Flackwell Heath doubled their lead to make it 2-0 for the final result.

The Town did create some chances and even hit the bar after the break but it the football wasn't free flowing and the final ball being poor so the reds can have no complaints about the result. The next game for the Reading boys is away to Kidlington on Saturday.

Could not make it to the game as I was working on Monday. I will be at the Ardley game on the 22nd, wearing my 40 today badge as it is my birthday that day. Snow permitting.

Will also be bringing a colleague of mine. He has no intent on joining in with the Barmy Army at the moment.
