At the moment I am going to the game as I haven't heard back about the cleaning job yet but if anything changes I will let you know. Looking forward to the game as it is the first game of the season.

PS: The Prediction League is underway so get predicting but Reading Town games won't be included in it.

1st Half: Hook Norton made a bright start in the opening few minutes which saw Chris Grace make a fine save tipping the ball over the crossbar. Reading Town had some chances of their own with a cross being flashed across the box and James Clark firing over the bar from a tight angle. In the 10th minute the Reading boys got the opening goal of the game with James Clark slotting it past the keeper. Hooky didn't have many chances and one chance they did have was blasted over from a free-kick. Not long to go in the first half, Reading Town doubled their lead when Gordon Ritchie shot into the bottom left hand corner from a corner kick.

2nd Half: The Reading boys kept putting on the pressure with Graham Lewis hitting the bar. Graham Lewis then made it 3-0 in the 50th minute when he passed the ball into the net from close range. 5 minutes later and another goal, set up by Graham Lewis who crossed into the box from the left hand side and Gordon Ritchie was there to poke it home to make it 4-0. Reading Town kept creating chances and this saw Aaron Parfitt smash the ball just wide of the keepers near post. In the 63rd minute Reading Town were awarded a penalty and Aaron Parfitt stepped up to the spot which saw him belt into the bottom right hand corner. The Reading boys were awarded another penalty but this time it was a different outcome with Aaron's penalty being saved. The Reading boys kept on pressing and this saw Graham Lewis run down the wing and shoot but his effort was well saved by the keeper. Not for the first time the cross bar was rattled once again by the Reading boys. Graham got his second goal of the night to make it 6-0 when he rounded off the keeper and then slotted into the back of the net from an acute angle. Near the end of the game Graham was looking to get his hat-trick but the keeper prevented him from doing that with a smart save with his legs.

Nice work lads - gave us plenty to sing about.
Pleasing to see the new players slotting in well and the whole squad playing creative football.
Good singing from you all in the changing rooms afterwards as well LOL!!
Looking forward already to FA Cup on Saturday.
