Reading Town 1-0 Binfield (FLC)
Reading Town take on Binfield this evening at Scours Lane in the Floodlit Cup. Binfield have been in some good form leading up to this game, so will hopefully be a good game and also a turn out due to it with it being against local rivals.

So Town take a slender 1-0 lead to Binfield next week for the return leg. Just a quick question and please forgive my ignorance - how serious is this competition taken? Is it a real first team affair, a sort of league cup. Or is it seen as more of a chance to play fringe and youth players?

If I remember rightly it said in the programme, that Colin would put out a strong side for the game and thats what happended.

In the other semi Shortwood v Witney both sides put out as strong a side as was available so I think its taken quite seriously at this stage of the competition; perhaps not so much in the earlier rounds.
