Reading Town 5-1 Marlow United
Michael Buck got the opening goal for the Town in the 2nd minute to put them 1-0 up. The Reading boys created some good chances following on from this, which saw a great block being made on the line from visitors. Also a the ball pinged against the bar after a cross was put into the box. Marlow United keeper made a fine save tipping the ball over the bar when the ball was hit from a distance. The Reading had some more some chances to go ahead but both headers went wide of the mark. The Town doubled lead in the 26th with an Aaron Parfitt free kick deflected past the keeper to make it 2-0. The Reading boys did create other chances before half time and Marlow had one effort which went over the bar. Dave Mills made it 3-0 just before the break with a wonderful strike the ball flying into the left hand corner, leaving the keeper with no chance and all he could do is applaud the strike.
Second Half and Marlow United got on the score sheet in 64th minute, after a free-kick was awarded to them, the ball put into the box and Chris Grace couldn't hang onto the ball leaving a Marlow player to hit towards goal and a defender on the line couldn't prevent it from going over the line. Reading Town made it 4-1 in the 74th minute when James Clark rounded off the keeper and put the ball into the box, which saw Graham Lewis smash past the defender on the line. Reading Town rounded off the game with another goal to make it 5-1, which saw Danny Williamson go on a run down the wing then ping the ball into the box and Graham Lewis scoring from a tight angle in the 83rd minute. I also hope the Marlow United player who was stretched off after the last goal wasn't badly injured and I hope he has a quick recovery.
