Molesey 4-1 Reading Town
Match Highlights Molesey 4-1 Reading Town - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh8QmpHRqiY
The first pre-season game got underway yesterday afternoon against Molesey. Reading Town started well keeping the ball and had a few half chances to speak of which saw the Molesey keeper called into action. Totally against the run of play the hosts got the breakthrough unfortunately coming from an own goal to see them take a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. Just two minutes later The Moles doubled the score when a defensive error lead to the ball being smashed into bottom left hand corner. The boys in white were clearly not happy sitting on a 2-0 lead as in the 25th minute they scored again this time from close range.
After the break the boys in Red pulled a goal back to make it 3-1, courtesy of Graham Lewis penalty who slotted the ball in the bottom left hand corner in the 52nd minute. This gave Reading Town a bit of boost with a free-kick being well tipped over by the Molesey keeper and also saw a good individual run by Marcus Richardson but his ball into the box only found the keepers gloves. However Molesey struck back with another goal to make it 4-1 in the 66th minute. The Town had a couple more chances after the 5th goal of the game but no more goals went in and score stayed the same until the final whistle.
