01st Aug Sat Reading Town 2-2 Beaconsfield SYCOB (3pm Kick Off)

This will be the first pre-season game I will be attending and I just can't wait to see the Town play. The forecast is not good for Saturday though will lots of rain to fall. So fingers crossed it's not called off!!!

It was good to have a match again at a Scours Lane pitch that was looking well prepared and ready for another testing season. The Town players linked well together and the new faces performed well. Beaconsfield came back well in the 2nd half to even up the 2 goals from James Clark as Town tired a little late on.
Still players to come in to the reckoning for places as well and the team spirit is excellent again.
A testing and very useful workout for the squad and typical of the standard that will be met when the League starts shortly.

Good work out for the lads and the game was lively, with 3 pens all missesd, 2 sin bins and 1 sending off and their keeper trying to say how he got away with not getting sent off with about 20 minutes to go.

Yes - a jovial character wasn't he, with a good sense of humour.
Made a good save from the penalty that he had conceded as well!!
