Been busy so thats why I havent posted this earlier. Should be an entertaining game tomorrow with Wanatge in good form and in the top half of the table.

Well it finished 1-1 which isn't a bad result as Wantage seem to be a fairly useful side and should be up the top end of the table come the end of the season, but pity RT couldn't nick it as would have give them a bit more daylight at the top. Also shame about another pi ss poor attendance down at Scours Lane especially with them being top of the league... even Woodley Town had a bigger crowd watching them today and they are a division below and mid table ffs

Nearly did nick right at the end when a ball was smashed into a crowded box but unfortantley no one could turn towards goalwards. Did have a few chances in the first half which saw Graham hit the bar and also saw Millsy make the keeper stretch. Wantage also had their chances one of which they scored from a deflected free-kick. Second Half Reading Town had most of the chances and this saw their keepr make some fine saves. The Reading boys were awarded for their pressure which saw Danny Williamson cushion a header into the bottom left hand corner to make 1-1. Had a few more chances late on but the scores stayed the same to leave both teams sharing the points.
The attendence was 72 which is in no way terrible!!!

It was Woodley's first home game of the season as well. Against Didcot's stiffs as well, Didcot brought a few down perhaps?
Fair result I think, Wantage got a bit lucky for the goal but they probably did enough to earn that.

You're right it's not a terrible attendance for Reading Town standards but it's not exactly a big crowd considering RT are top of the league and playing a useful side. Didn't Wantage bring many? I just thought with RFC not playing and RT doing so well it might have attracted an attendance exceeding 100.
Hi Ben, Not sure how many Didcot stiffs brought down to Woodley, but i doubt it would have been many as their first team were playing at home at the same time. I know it's Woodleys first game at this level but they haven't exactly set the world alight this season so far and are a league below RT but still managed 93 attendance. It could have been just first home game curiosity and i'm not sure if entry is free or a minimal fee either way they had more there than was watching RT.
