Abingdon Town Report/Derby game tomoz
The Reading boys edged past Abingdon Town this evening after a goaless first half which saw both teams have a few half chances but neither team had the upper hand. Second half and the Reading boys scored early on which saw Brett Rann tuck the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0. Another goal soon followed for the Reading boys to make it 2-0 . Abingdon Town however came back into the game when a free header was put past Roberts which saw the scoreline at 2-1. With not long to go Luke Farrugia pounced on a goalkeeping error to ping the ball into the back of the net to give Roddy's men a 3-1 lead. Although Abingdon did score just before the end but it was to little to late for them to get anything from the game and it ended 3-2.
The Reading boys face Wokingham & Embrook at Scours Lane tomorrow afternoon 2:30pm Kick Off. I won't be there due to other commitments but a lot of people will be there as it's the groundhopper day so will no doubt be a great occasion.

Good result. Keeps the team in the right half of the table. See you at 14:30 Saturday.

Good work this afternoon by a hard working Reading Town side to beat Wokingham 1-0 at Scours Lane.
The sides were seperated by a towering far post header on 20 minutes by Michael Hancock.
The back four looked very assured this afternoon and were very rarely seriously troubled.
Forwards and midfield were creative although the final pass tended to go astray at times.
Danny Seaward's introduction was a good move in the 2nd half and he proved a constant threat to the visitor's defence. Good crowd of 162 including many Ground Hoppers. Particularly good to meet the Winchester City "Exiles" on their travels - a pleasant and knowledgeable trio.

162 in attendance. Lucky they all didn't try to sit down. Liked the Exiles flag. Salmon was my man off the match though.

A couple of wins and RT get back in contention near the top of the table. Well done on a vital win today over their Berkshire rivals with 162 in attendance.
Anyone know when the last time there was an attendance bigger than that?
Keep it up boys!!!
