Reading Town 6-1 Highworth Town (7th April)
Reading Town take on 6th placed Highworth on Tuesday night who have won their last 3 league games which saw them beat Bicester (away) and Chalfont Wasps (home) 4-0 and also beat Hungerford 2-1 at home. Highworth have beaten us two times already this season 3-1 in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup and 3-2 in the league.

Re: Reading Town 6-1 Highworth Town (7th April)
1st half: The first half an hour saw both sides create very few chances. Highworth came close to scoring in about the 33rd minute but Chris Grace pulled off a fine save diving to his left to prevent the shot from going in. Just a few minutes later and Graham scored the opener placing the ball into the bottom left hand corner which the keeper could only stand and applaud. Reading Town had a chance just before the break but the ball was flashed inches wide.
2nd half started really well with Mike Hancock heading home to make it 2-0. The Town then extended the lead when Graham Lewis tapped in from close range to make it 3-0. Graham then went onto get his hat-trick after hitting the underside of the bar and the bouncing over the line. The Town kept putting Highworth under pressure and this saw Graham Lewis get his fourth goal of the night with the ball pinging off the post and into the back of the net. Mark Hughes scored the 6th goal which was a nice looping header over the keeper and also the man on the line. Highworth did get a goal back from a penalty with a few minutes to go.
I thought Danny Williamson had a great game was always a threat down the wing and putting in some dangerous balls into the box. Also excellent performance on the goal front with shots being well placed leaving the keeper no chance and shots being struck to perfection.
Looking forward to the Abingdon Town game
PS: BRAMLEY the score was 6-1 as me and Ben said and not 5-1!!!

I must have missed a goal somewhere in the 2nd half. Not surprising really as some muppet was singing some stupid song adjacent to me at the railway end LOL!!
Well done to all the lads who played tonight - obviously all hungry for a Berks & Bucks Final place!!

Well played lads, you deserved it on the night. Couldn't believe how dusty the pitch was but the singing is as good as ever! Good luck in the Berks and Bucks.

All very even until the 2nd half blitz - I guess the lads had to beat you some time this season.
Thanks for the B&B Cup wishes. We all look forward to matches with you again next season, you have a well run club and spirit at Highworth.
